What are allergens pets Where are allergens animal health problems that may be caused by allergens Decline of animals' exposure to animal allergens What are allergens animals? Animal allergens such as cat saliva and skin residue (Dander) are organic pollutants from the animals. Can pass through the air and are too small to be visible only to the naked eye. Allergens animals, like other organic pollutants, contribute to worsen the indoor air quality and may be an important cause of loss of working days and school because they can cause sneezing, trigger allergic reactions, cause rashes, watery eyes , cough, dizziness, lethargy, difficulty breathing and digestive problems. Dander Exposure to animal signs of the dust, in the saliva of the cat and mildew causing hospitalization of about 200,000 patients in 'year for asthma. Pets are the most common source of allergic reactions to animals. Almost all pets can cause allergies, but especially cats. Even small animals like birds, hamsters and guinea pigs can cause allergies. Where are the animal allergens? Many people think that allergies are triggered household's only by fur. Instead many of the allergens are proteins secreted by the glands of the skin esocrine animal and release it as Dander, or separate the skin. The protein-allergens are also found in saliva and urine.

These are the problems that can be caused by the following animals:

Cats: Domestic Cats are an important source of allergens, especially in Northern Europe where the climate is not conducive to dust mites. Cat allergens are found in saliva, skin and Dander cats. Cats can be a cause of allergic reactions of the dogs most likely through the saliva lick because most of the fur. The male cats free of most allergens females. When the saliva dries, these proteins, and proteins in Dander can disperse in air and be inhaled. Cats can also spend more time at home in contact with humans increasing their risk of inhalation of these allergens. Cat allergens can be dispersed in air for long periods. This may explain why individuals allergic to cats

immediately feel the presence of symptoms in a cat. In addition to these allergens, cats can also eject the mushrooms (of toxoplasma gondii) that can be hazardous to health.

Dogs: The dog allergens are found primarily in saliva and Dander. Cats and dogs are the most important sources of allergens in homes in Scandinavia and North Mountain in the USA. It was also demonstrated that the heavy infestation of flea from these animals can increase the allergen found in house dust.

Birds: The allergens can be found in the feathers of birds. The birds may also expel the fungi such as the criptococco neoformans or Histoplasma in capsulatum.

Guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and rats: Some rodents such as guinea pigs and hamsters, have become increasingly popular as pets and can cause allergic reactions such as mice and rats. The urine is the main source of allergens in these animals. The urine is a strong allergen. When it dries, it can disperse in the air.

Allergies to animals can take two years or more to develop and can not disappear for six months or more after it has ended contact with the animal. The carpeting, upholstered furniture fabric and other materials that are reservoirs for the allergen of the domestic. In addition, these allergens can stay in for months after the animal was removed. This is because the allergen remains in the dust of the house. Consequently, for people with pet allergies, it is wise to check if the previous owner had kept pets in the house. In some cases, design of high levels of dog and cat were found in schools and kindergartens where there are pets. The allergen is transported from the clothes of children who live at home with pets. There are health problems that may be caused by allergens animals? The cat allergen is found in saliva and in the skin and is so small that it can be dispersed in air for several hours. Due to the small particle size, the cat allergen enters easily into the lungs and can lead to hypersensitivity diseases such as' asthma. Exposure to allergens other animals is not as important allergens of the cat.

The health problems caused by animal allergens include:

Asthmatic attacks

Stuffy nose

Sneeze

Eye irritation

Cough

Eruption

As can be decreased exposure to allergens animals?

If someone has allergies or asthma and severe uncontrollable caused by a pet, the first thing to consider is to find a new home for the animal. Sometimes we think that the cat or dog allergens were not sure. There is a cat or dog that is not a source of allergens, particularly if the pet leaves the Dander and saliva in the house. The red fish and other tropical fish can be a good substitute. If you delete the pet, make sure to do thorough cleaning including floors, walls and especially the carpet and furniture as the home of the allergens can remain in office for months after the animal was removed. If the pet is removed a cat, is effective in reducing the design of a solution concentration of tannic acid to 3%.

If you do not want to remove the pet from the house, consider the possibility to do the following:

Keep pets confined to one area of the house

Keep pets out of the bedroom and other areas of sleep and keep the doors closed

Keep pets away from furniture covered with fabrics, carpets and from peluches

Take a bath every week the animal home to reduce the amount of saliva and Dander in the house.

Keep out animals.

Protect asthmatic people taking away the animal

Keep the house clean. The Animal Dander and other agents that cause allergies can be reduced, although not eliminated, with a normal cleaning.

Keep carpets and furniture covered with cloth bags packed with high-collection efficiency.

Conducting a periodic cleaning of the carpet with an efficient system for the removal of more than 99% of allergens.

Sometimes it is recommended to the owners of the home use of air purifiers. Although should be considered only an addition to other control methods, when used properly air purifiers can reduce allergens in small animal areas. The characteristics of air purifiers should be studied carefully. In fact, some purification of air produces ozone, which can be harmful to asthmatics.
